Since 1951 Al-Anon has offered support via meetings where members share their personal experiences and stories.\u00a0 Members are encouraged to \u201ctake what they like and leave the rest\u201d\u2014that is, to determine for themselves what lesson they could apply to their own lives.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Anon Family Groups meet in more than 130 countries, offering nearly 16,000 locally-based groups in North America alone.
