Dodge Foundation (PGDF) has announced initiatives for its 2015 Mission Grant Awards. These initiatives reflect the Foundation\u2019s commitment to helping people lead lives free from the effects of alcohol addiction.<\/p>\n<p>Organizations who wish to apply for funding should submit <a href=\"\/media\/PGD-GrantForm_022415.pdf\" data-ga-trigger=\"click\" data-ga-category=\"Text Link\" data-ga-action=\"PGDF Announces 2015 Grant Initiatives\" data-ga-label=\"an application\">an application<\/a> proposing work in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Refining alcohol-use disorder (AUD) diagnosis and referral to treatment<\/li>\n<li>Increasing access to AUD treatment and\/or removing barriers to access<\/li>\n<li>Supporting increased and updated K-12 education on alcohol use and alcoholism<\/li>\n<li>Preventing alcohol abuse by young people and reducing associated harm<\/li>\n<li>Increasing coverage of AUD in medical school curricula<\/li>\n<li>Supplying physicians with up-to-date AUD diagnosis and treatment protocols and encouraging dialogue about AUD amongst physicians<\/li>\n<li>Developing or testing medications for AUD treatment<\/li>\n<li>Serving sensitive populations such as veterans, homeless people, Native Americans, or people with dual diagnosis<\/li>\n<li>Testing the efficacy of alternative treatments such as meditation or nutrition therapy<\/li>\n<li>Developing or testing new technologies supporting people in recovery<\/li>\n<li>Capacity-building for exemplary organizations in the AUD field that seek to expand or improve their operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Peter G.
